A few of my classmates and I stayed behind in the BPA room, expecting our professor to meet us there. After waiting for several minutes with no sign of him, three of us decided to look for Sir Baroro at the faculty office, but his desk was empty.
On our way back, we were surprised to see him already speaking with the rest of the class inside the ATB room. My classmates later explained that they hadn’t planned to meet there either. Sir Baroro had simply passed by the room, noticed them, and asked if they were his students. Once they confirmed they were, he stepped inside. Because he was preoccupied with urgent matters, the interaction was very brief. He mainly asked if anyone wanted to join the MMLB since he is the coach, and then gave a quick instruction for everyone to read the assigned module.
Sir Baroro left just a few minutes after we hurried into the room. Because we missed the beginning of the encounter, we double-checked with our class mayor to ensure we hadn’t missed any other information. She confirmed those were the only directives, but she added that Sir Baroro would only mark those he actually saw as present.
While we felt incredibly relieved that we walked in just in time to be noticed, this news disheartened the rest of our classmates who missed the brief window. They were upset about being marked absent, arguing their stand that it was unfair since the encounter happened well before our official class time had even started.
